Despite whispers of a slowdown in e-commerce, a new study reveals fashion remains a top online shopping category globally. Analyzing over 50 countries, the research by Ubuy.dk found Denmark leads the pack with online shoppers spending an average of $3,426.47 per year, with fashion being a key focus. The US follows closely behind at $3,389, while South Korea, the UK, and Australia round out the top 5, all exceeding $2,000 in average yearly online spending per shopper. Interestingly, the study also highlights a trend of younger demographics (20-40 year olds) driving online fashion purchases across these leading e-commerce nations.
